In anticipation of the summer, especially after these weeks of frigid temps, I have started the kids swimwear collections. We have joined the Y, so days of fun in the sun at the water park are in our future. Of course I couldn't resist several of the new swimsuits from Gymboree. Here is our sweet Abby in my favorite for her so far.

Our Little Gymnast
So the time has come, and truly the time already passed, to sign Caitlyn up for gymnastics. We thought this would be a good start to see where she may want focus herself in the future, i.e. ballet, dance, cheerleading or none of the above. She was so excited the night before and the day of. She literally was letting me know every minute that passed from 5:00 to 5:45 when we left. Luckily we live close to Louisville Gymnastics which makes it a little less stressful this one night a week.
Super proud of her new outfit, though she was a little "dressed-up" compared to some of the other girls.

Snow Day
The kids were dying to play in the snow, so after spending 15 minutes dressing them, we ventured out. As you can see from their attire, coordinated snowsuits, hats, and gloves are not a priority of purchases due to the fact that I never know if the winter will prove to be worth the expense. Abby was the most mixed with two different hats, a coat two sizes too big, and a pair of John's white cotton socks acting as insulation and a third layer over most of her legs. Unfortunately, the wind had really started to pick up when we went out. Abby lasted three minutes and was devastated when I brought her in. Aiden and Caitlyn loved being pulled in the sled and eating the snow. I remember snow being a lot more fun when I was a kid. Now its snotty noses, snowpacked boots and pants, and a lot of whining and complaining (and I don't mean entirely from me).
A heartbroken Abby to be watching from inside.

Funny Face
As a follow-up to the last post, Abby can go from a beautiful smile to her "scrunchy" face. She does this completely on her own and on command if you do it to her first. We laugh every time!!
I just can't figure out where she gets it from?
(John did "pose" for this picture and is fully aware that it is available for the world to see...heeheehee.)

Our Blue-Eyed Beauty
Christmas Afternoon
Since my sister and her family moved back to Louisville this past May, it was a given that we would enjoy Christmas at the Whitworth's new home. She set up the basement so that the kids could have lots of room to run about, which Abby and Jack seemed to miss the memo on since all they wanted to do was climb up the stairs. My sister and I bought matching pj's for the kids, and unfortunately, these are the best pictures of the four of them together.
Some of their favorite gifts!
Yeah....that looks "greeeat" on your head Abby.
This is all I have to say about that!
This sequence of pictures is hilarious, I can only imagine what was going through Jack's mind. Maybe something like this, "So, sorry about that whole headband comment, but your ball looks great. Mind if I check it out? Ahah, the chics always fall for the sweet talk!"
